A million layouts.
One answer.

Athenite is a high-tech consulting firm. Our flagship instrument, Daedalus, designs factories, warehouses and whole sites — what to buy, where it goes, how it connects, what to automate first — then proves the design in simulation before anyone pours concrete.

The category problem

Most tools grade your layout. Ours writes it.

Simulation software can tell you whether the layout you drew will work. It cannot tell you what to build. The space of possible plants — every equipment choice, position, and routing — is astronomically larger than any team can explore by hand. Daedalus explores it by the million, and hands back the one that holds.

The instrument

See the plant before it exists.

Daedalus works on one drawing: the floor you set up is the floor the answer lands on. Fold it up to see the plant in three-quarter view — every machine it bought, every conveyor it routed, every storey it chose.

Daedalus showing a finished plant design in its 2.5D view: dozens of machines placed on the floor, conveyors routed between them, and the results panel reporting throughput, cost and findings.

Our flagship

Daedalus

Takes in

Your plant, on paper

The floor plan of your actual building, an equipment catalog, transport options, demand targets, and a capital budget.

Decides

The whole design

Which machines to buy, where each one goes, how everything connects — and how big the buffers, fleets and crews should be.

Proves

Its own answer

A full stochastic simulation of the finished design — a week of production, failures and all — and a plain verdict on whether it meets the target.

Everything Daedalus can do

Engagements

Whatever your floor is asking.

Greenfield

Design a new plant

From a floor plan and a demand target to an equipment list, a floor arrangement, and simulated evidence that it holds.

Brownfield

Re-lay an existing floor

We design around the equipment you already own — every relocation priced against the gain it buys, and a cap on how much disruption you will sit through.

Automation

Decide what to automate first

We sweep your capital budget and rank each step by labour saved, payback and net present value — so the order is evidence, not instinct.

Multi-storey

Put the upstairs to work

Which machines go on the mezzanine, what the lift costs, and what the slab can carry — decided together, not patched on after.

Campus

Place the buildings

Each building solved and frozen, then the site arranged around it: gates, yard traffic, and the roads between.

Warehouses

Move pallets, not just parts

Docks, forklift and tugger fleets, stores and shipping bays — sized and placed with the same rigour as the production line.

The firm

Consultants who build their own instruments.

Athenite is named for Athena — patron of both wisdom and craft. We take on hard operational problems, and where the right software doesn't exist, we build it. Daedalus, our factory-layout optimizer, is the first such instrument. It will not be the last.

  • IHonest numbers. Every figure we hand you carries its uncertainty. When a result is too close to call, we say so rather than round it in our favour.
  • IIThe decision stays with you. We bring evidence — simulations, bounds, and trade-offs laid bare. You bring judgment.
  • IIIBuild the tool the problem needs. When off-the-shelf software can't answer the question, we write software that can.

Tell us about your floor.

An email is enough to start. A floor plan and a demand target are even better.
